Lake Chelan Boat Company

Departing  just one mile from downtown Chelan, the Lady of the Lake is a convenient and comfortable way to enjoy the 50 mile trip up lake. With their fastest vessel making the trip from Chelan to Stehekin in just 90 minutes, Lake Chelan Boat Company has accommodations to fit your needs. The original ferry service on the lake, they are still locally owned and operated. Both the Lady of the Lake and the Lady Express have a well stocked snack bar and large windows for enjoying the views all the way up lake.

Stehekin Ferry

Want to spend a little less of your journey on the water? The Stehekin Ferry departs from Field's Point Landing, which is about 15 miles up-lake. Offering speedy service to Stehekin, the Stehekin Ferry is another great option for getting your crew to Silver Bay Inn. It operates on an opposite schedule from Lake Chelan Boat Company and provides daily service all year round. Based in Stehekin, it has been locally owned and operated since 2020 and has two reliable vessels in use.

What to Bring

Since there is no easy access to any stores here at Silver Bay Inn, we encourage you to double check your packing list and take our packing recommendations into consideration

Snacks/Meals

Stehekin has a bakery, a restaurant at the landing, and a small general store, but it is limited on options. If you have dietary restrictions or don't want to eat out for every meal, we recommend that guests bring their desired meals or snacks with them in a cooler if needed.

Layers

Whether you are hiking one of the many stunning trails Stehekin Valley has to offer, or going for a morning walk, always be prepared for changes in the weather. The mountains are a magical place but they can experience swift changes in weather.

A Bathing Suit

There are so many ways to enjoy the river and the lake at the Silver Bay Inn, you don't want to miss out! Getting out in the canoe, splashing in the lake, or soaking in the hot tub are much more enjoyable experiences with proper swim attire.

Close Toed Shoes

The goal of the Stehekin Community and of Silver Bay Inn is to keep the valley as untouched as possible. That means that beyond the main road, most roads and trails are unpaved and can be rugged in some places. Protect your feet and your experience by packing some comfortable, close-toed shoes.
